I've had a rare opportunity to cover the story on COVID during the height of the pandemic last year. I took this image in one of the infectious diseases hospital in Poland. You can see the hospital employee disinfecting a room marked as red zone. Meaning that only few people from hospital staff and patients could be in that area and only after meeting scrupulous sanitary procedures. I won’t lie that I was enthusiastic or thrilled to cover the subject of the ongoing pandemic. I was a bit scared and apprehensive, as no one at that stage knew what was going on, how contagious and dangerous COVID was and I was about to land right in the middle of the front line where brave man and woman risked their health and life fighting the invisible virus.
