The bright star Sadr lights a small cave of gas and dust in the large area at the heart of the Northern Cross. Using narrowband filters from my city backyard in Portland OR, the colors take on a very fall-like range of hues. 17 hours of exposures with a 530mm F5 telescope and a dedicated QHY600M astro-camera were used.
