What a beautifully done image! I am very interested in knowing about the background. Was the background in the real life scene really that clean and completely free of distractions and detail, or did you use Photoshop or other editing software to make it so perfectly clean?
Hey Tom, thanks! The background was very distant and blurred out natually by the lens. The image was only manipulated in Lightroom and Topaz Denoise. No healing/cloning etc. The image was shot at 24mp and cropped to 3987 x 2658.

My guess is telephoto > crop in > photoshop to clean any remaining distractions.
