Saturday Night Live

There were two of us shooting for Nyonair the night we took this. It was about 2 weeks before Christmas. The primary objective of the shoot was to get some night shots of people skating at Rockefeller Center. I was shooting out of the left side of the helicopter while we did loops over midtown. It was crazy cold and windy sitting on the floor leaning out with a harness. Times Square just looked fantastic with all the lights. I shot this with a pretty slow shutter speed (1/80sec) considering the circumstances. I used a Kenyon Labs gyroscope to assist with image stabilization. I'm not even sure I ever saw the skating rink.
