Nice picture! I live in Chelsea, but my office is in Ann Arbor. On a hot and humid day like today (June 16) a Sangria at Bill's sounds pretty good. Unfortunately, winter will be back all too soon! Bob Henderson
Thanks Bob. Yes, Bill’s is a great place. I took this a few years ago. I also gave them a print which is hanging in someone’s office. Got a free beer out if the deal. 😋
The first verse of a classic Australian song is:
"Oh it's-a lonesome away from your kindred and all
By the campfire at night we'll hear the wild dingoes call
But there's-a nothing so lonesome, morbid or drear
Than to stand in the bar of a pub with no beer"
The song was made famous by country singer Slim Dusty and is titled 'A Pub With No Beer'. Quoting Wikipedia [an undeniably truthful source of information :-) ] "In 1957, Slim Dusty's version of "A Pub with No Beer" became the first Australian single to become a gold record and was the biggest-selling record by an Australian at the time. It was the first single by an Australian artist to enter the British charts, reaching number three."
The song portrays a slightly different scene though - Australia's pub with no beer being in the middle of nowhere in a stinking hot desert rather than being frozen. Not sure which I'd prefer.

In the words of Homer Simpson, "Free beer .........mmmmm!" :-)
