Storm at White Sands

I visited the White Sands National Park in February. We were there for 4 days. The first day we arrived in the late afternoon and just did a quick hike to check it out thinking we had 3 more days to explore. Unfortunately, the next 2 days brought high winds (50-60mph) to the entire region, so we were unable to visit the park. On the final day, it rained all morning and we were thinking it would be a bust. Things started clearing up in the early afternoon, so we took off on a hike. The light was spectacular and the distant storm front made for some amazing scenes. Here is one of my favorites from that trip. It was well worth the wait!

Congrats on POTD, Tom! Well deserved in my opinion, as you won't be surprised to hear. Well done!

I'll second Chris's feedback Tom - I appreciate this more on each repeated viewing!
