Winter sunet of west face of Monviso (3841m) seen from Colle del Longet (2750m) were we spent the night in a shelter. Monviso is one of the most beautiful mountains in the eastern Alps, proudly standing tall it domintes all over the surrounding mountains. It was a damn freezing day, the temperature rapidly dropped to -18°C as the sun was going down. I waited outside until the shadows covered the lower mountains, letting the light to paint Monviso as the main character of the scene. You know, the picture shows only a tiny part of the job but believe me, being there was truly amazing.
