Brooklyn Beauty

Taking a day trip to NYC, I didn’t get to do the street photography as I had in mind, partly because I was still learning and figuring out my camera, and the other half being distracted by the architecture that permeated every inch around me. I would say this trip turned out to be more so in the category of architecture photography. It was mid day with super harsh lighting, something not ideal, and while most photographers hate shooting in harsh lighting, I used it as a way to play with shadows and lighting that would drape over the buildings. It allowed me to capturing contrast and interesting details of a building, and see things in a new perspective. Eventually we made our way down to the Brooklyn Bridge, and again as typical as this shot is, I was pretty proud of it considering it was one of a few prints that inspired me to get printed. From this, I am interested in learning how to print my own work and will be investing in printing gear.
