There is nothing more spectacular than the miracle of nature. The sights, sounds and smells of this beautiful world — all of them are there for us to experience. Patiently, it waits for us to enjoy its beauty, a birthright we seldom claim and too frequently take for granted.
This shot was taken at the entrance of Labi-Labi Falls located in Brgy. Ara-al, La Carlota City during the Independence Day in which at the same time that nature has also become independent from us. After the Odette storm hit the province back in December 2021, the landscape slightly changed. The depth and the currents are different and stronger than it was where novice swimmers will be taken into a challenge as it has become tougher to cross to the falls. Due to unpreparedness and risks for the camera gears and equipments to bring through, frustratingly, we put a halt and make it a day. Yet, nature still gave us a glance of its beauty just outside its gateway and I’m glad (for me) I took the chance and gave the scene a justice in this photo where the rain luckily stopped for a minute of sunshine and leaves moving towards us.
Perhaps it’s not the best time to visit the place. Perhaps this is mother nature reminding us to visit her more often as she starts healing and becomes untouchable for a period of time. But the experience and motivation don’t stop here, we wait patiently and will come back to witness this hidden paradise.
