I don't have a lot of options in Canada for car trails that slide through the mountains (that I know of) so given the chance to be at such a beautiful view how could I resist?
This is a 6 shot pano (24mm vertical) with 5 x 2 minute exposures for the car trails. Wanting to do a pano with car trails ended up being a lot of work in post processing. so if you have tips for blending different imagines cleanly for pano please let me know. It was quite the challenge to line up the car trails.
Hi Mike, Nice image! I'm trying to figure out where you were when you took the shot. It kind of looks like "Angel's Landing." If that was the location you have my respect! That would be a heck-of-a hike in the pre-dawn darkness! :-)
Hi Roberts, Thanks. This is from the Zion Canyon Overlook Trail. It is a very simple 1mile hike (return). The hardest part is finding a parking spot.
This is a post Sunset hike. I have done Angel's Landing and would rather not do it in the dark. lol
My second guess was the overlook trail near the Great Western Arch, but it's been about 35 years since I did any serious hiking in the area. I need a refresher! Once again, great image! :-)
