Visiting female friends in Barkhor Square in Lhasa, Tibet.
Barkhor Square is filled with community at the site of Jokhang Temple in Lhasa. I was so struck by the local elders, relaxing and chatting with one another as dusk began to settle in, how foreign this sight is to those of us living in cities infiltrated with technology, who tend to believe what we accomplish defines our value. I was quite touched.
