Irish Vision

The Irish girl with darkest hair and bluest eyes, standing on a rainy beach in Scotland. My friend had brought her teal blue scarf along for our last little photoshoot before holiday's end, and the moment she stared into the camera with the scarf around her face, highlighting that one piercing eye, I saw more than just my friend - I spied the fire of the wild, defiant Irish spirit staring back at me. There we were on the Scottish coast, from which Ireland could be seen on a clear blue day, with the whipping wind sending echoes back and forth between the two islands, whispering and whining and declaring hundred's of years worth of battle cries for freedom. Those battles it seemed, bottled themselves up in one look of profound determination.
