Wildly Free

An Irish girl on a stormy Scottish beach in summer made for a dramatic moment, especially as her perfectly teal blue scarf waved and whipped and danced in the wind. My friend and I had just about reached the end of our vacation (I lived in Germany and she lived in Dublin), and so we had taken one last little stroll from our friend's apartment to the long beach on the coast, in spite of the rain, hoping for some fun shots. As she stood, looking out to sea, there it was. Later, in editing, the too-bright grey sky hid the rain and reduced the drama. So, being the avid story-teller geek that I am, I added the layered clouds and deepened the shadows.
