Midi d'Ossau

The Midi d'Ossau peak rises majestically as a prominent summit in the Pyrenees, reaching an altitude of 2884 meters above sea level. Located in the French department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, near the border with Spain, this imposing natural landmark captivates with its magnificence. The photo was taken at sunset, when the last rays of sun bathed the mountain in golden and pink hues, creating a magical and evocative atmosphere.

Is that sky even real? :D

When I took the photo, I thought the same thing. This sky looks like a digital painting, but it's 100% real.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the colors.

Thanks a lot Teresa! Have a nice day

Excuse me if I am missing something here, and it is highly likely I am, but if the sun is behind (albeit above) the mountain from the perspective of the viewer, how come the golden highlights are on the side of the mountain facing the viewer-in essence, the side which is facing away from the sun? Surely, the highlight would not be visible to the viewer.
I am of course assuming the bright spot in the clouds is the sun.

Preciosa

Epic!
