Honestly, I wouldn't know where to start to tell a bit about this shot, perhaps it's better to start with the simplest part. I feel like I've finally reached that goal that has been tormenting me for some time, namely capturing a panoramic view of the Milky Way, something I considered impossible to achieve a few years ago.
The surprising thing is that throughout the night, the humidity was really, really low, and that's why I believe this shot turned out so well.
We all know how magnificent the Dolomites are, but unfortunately, they are located in an area where humidity reigns supreme, and this is a huge problem for astrophotography. Humidity is like Kryptonite; it greatly reduces the detail of the stars and, obviously, the Milky Way.
After the shooting session, I lay down looking up to admire the Perseid meteor shower and made about twenty wishes.
This photo means a lot to me; it represents achieving a specific goal that seemed impossible given its complexity to accomplish, which seemed only a distant dream, destined to remain so if not driven by strong motivation.
This is to reaffirm that nothing is impossible. If we commit ourselves 100%, we can achieve our goals that we have set for ourselves because it's nice to see dreams realized from time to time and not let them remain locked away in a drawer.
Enjoy ✌️
