Northern Lights

Aurora dancing above the Goðafoss waterfall in the northern part of Iceland. I haven't seen Northern lights before my trip to Iceland last week and I was very lucky to have 3 nights in a row of beautiful aurora displays. This photo is from night two when I escaped clouds that blanketed most of South Iceland and drove to the sparsely populated and colder northern part of Iceland. The temperatures dropped below freezing at night, but the sky remained clear allowing the Northern lights to unveil their spectacular beauty.
