This photo of a blue tit was taken in a forest near Lemele in the Netherlands. Me and a friend of mine rented a hide for the day in hopes of photographing a sparrowhawk that was regularly seen near the hide. We set up a couple of perches around the water feature of the hide to photograph other small birds. This particular one was lit up nicely by the sun, which was obscured by some faint clouds so the light was nice and soft. The dark background and the weird leaning pose of the bird make this one of my favourite photo's of a very common bird.
