Upernaviaruk Greenland

Greenland has many icebergs in its vast number of fjords and coastal areas. These natural artifacts of beauty results from broken glaciers. It's a photographer's opportunity to create images from these natural works of art. I made this image while cruising in a zodiak boat in this area. It appeared to be a massive sculpture carefully carved into the ice. The blueish white balance results from the cool midday temperatures. The lighting and the blue sky created a natural studio for this shot.
