Weaving Traditions

New photo of Vietnam.

This time, Elena and I were observing how some women were working repairing fishing nets. In fishing families, it is tradition that the women are in charge of fixing the nets, while the men go to sea. In the photo you can see three concentrated women, with their classic conical hat, working their magic with the nets. And beware, this net mending is not just anything, it is an art of patience and skill that has been passed down from generation to generation!

Una maravilla de foto tio

Gracias Jabi !! Si tio fue bestial !!!!

Congratulations on this visually captivating photograph. The vibrant interplay of colors, from the rich blues of the netting to the contrasting hues of the workers’ clothing, creates a harmonious and dynamic composition. The symmetry and top-down perspective amplify the sense of artistry and precision in this scene. What I love most is how this image seamlessly celebrates both cultural heritage and creative expression, turning a moment of craftsmanship into a mesmerizing visual narrative. This is exceptional storytelling through photography.
