Bogue Inlet Pier Day to Night

Day to Night at the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

What do you get when you shoot from about an hour before sunset until dark in the same spot without moving the camera and then meticulously blend the photos into one image? This is what you get. A carefully composited image depicting the transition from day to night.

Shout out the Stephen Wilkes for the inspiration to try this.

Very interesting Kyle, ... and how many frame in total, jpg or raw ...

Thanks! I ended up only using 6 frames in total. You could really use as many as you wanted. If there were more people there I probably would've used more to add them to the scene, but there were only a few so I didn't think it was really worth it.

I always shoot in RAW.
