Grand Foyer

I'm not good at coming up with captions for my interior shots so I thought I'd use my clients description of this shot:

"Historic home builders loved their grand foyers— while charming, they absorb a lot square footage for a glorified walkway. I like to stage them so they can be a little more useful, if not downright delightful. In this house the large foyer is a super pleasant spot to curl up with a book in the morning light (or kick up your feet while your dinner date tries on another outfit). No matter the reason for the pause, this photo by @kyleforemanphoto really makes me want to linger."

Kyle, I think you have arrived in your pursuit of interior photography with your image “Grand Foyer”. Its strength is in part as to its simplicity, well balanced composition while full use of the entire frame while leaving nothing in question or left to the imagination. From the lateral line of the wood floor the diagonal of the banister and stairs to the clean well lite white ceiling that stop the viewer’s eye from exiting the frame, enabling the viewer to explore the central elements and finer details of this image. From the welcoming leather chair with blanket, and pillow with subtle cushion ripples in the leather ottoman. To the small wooden cabinet topped by brass lamp, antique time piece brown tinted vase with white flowers. These warm tones of the floor, furnishing and accessories add to the welcoming feeling of this image. Which is excellent in the interior design genre, but would do well in a furniture, and household ornament catalog or think book.

Well done Kyle and congrats!
