Mattamuskeet

This is a single exposure of the dark skies of rural Hyde County in north east North Carolina. Mattamuskeet is on the edge of the inner banks and it is rare to find this spot with little or no wind. Just to the right is the Lake Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge which host a diverse wildlife population including a large impoundment for water foul migration. Hyde Co will never get old to me, I'm only a couple hours away and the vast options for landscape and wildlife photography keep my coming back.
