Beauty in the eyes of the beholders

The photo was taken from the famous U Bein Bridge in Amarapura, Myanmar — reputedly the longest teak footbridge in the world with its 1.2 km length. A row of boats was lining up on the lake in front of the bridge to witness the impending sunset, forming a colourful and tumultuous diagonal in stark contrast with the pale and peaceful water expanse, closed by a dim horizon of greenery with some sparse pagodas.
