I camped very near this spot one mid May. It was so stinking cold. Water inside the camper froze solid. It was before we knew about modern insulated sleeping bags so the solution to sleeping cold was to pile on more blankets. Thankfully we were in a camper and not the hardcore camping I would do later. Beautiful spot. Our son was a junior in high school at the time. Brings back so many memories.
