The image selected for the cover of this issue, is part of a larger series exploring the complex identities of other creatives, many of whom, like myself, immigrants living and working in Vienna. The portraits are rich in symbolic meanings, which at first glance appear seemingly cliché but hide deep personal significance for people who are eclectically scrapping identities together while tapping into various, at times event conflicting, cultural repertoires stretching the world over in present, past and imagined futures.
