In 2006, in Tucson Arizona, of all places, was a big interest in modelling, by young people. Television modelling and fashion design competition shows were novel and proved to be inspiring.
Today, there are all types of people who are being used for ads, fashion and movies... I'd like to think that my practice, of shooting 'regular' people, in a stylish way, caught on.
This 'test shoot' of Tanyia, is one look, of three.
From the first two looks/rolls, she was selected to go to NYC, for a model talent search, however, in this image, she was actually in the hospital, due to some sudden illness. In order for her to have qualified for the trip to NYC, she need to have one more shoot submitted in two days, of this shoot. So, at some point, she was feeling less pain, and agreed to be shot... catheter in arm, she was unable to wear anything but hospital wear, so, I used a reflector material, as a 'top'...
