This was the second (and unfortunately last) time this model/MUA and I had the chance to shoot together before she moved back to Denmark... We tried about three different looks in total. I don't recall any special reason why, but while retouching, I started looking for images of ink dropped in water to composite in as seen on the right, coming off her back. No particular inspiration (perhaps simply the "gothic" idea?), but we liked the result, so kept it.
