The water is composed of warped stock photos. The clouds and flag are stock too.
We shot many poses with the models (a family), in their living room. The boat, rope and mast are painted digitally with added photo textures. The sails are bedsheets photographed in the back yard.
That's about it I guess.

Yes it's a tiny boat. That on purpose to not let the boat take to much space in the photograph. It's about the people, not really the realism.
