Clark Terrell a photographer from South Texas captured this moving portrait of his pet dog, Allie, a few weeks before she passed away.
"It’s been a two weeks since Allie passed away and not a day goes by that we don’t miss her. She became very ill about a month ago and I feared she did not have long. Just before we took her to the vet to get examined I decided to take a few portraits of her. She is a small dog compared to her brothers but the livelier one of the bunch. That’s why it hurt the family to see her so fragile and weak. She received treatment and things started looking up for her. She began running and playing with her siblings; until suddenly she passed in her sleep one day. I had just arrived from work when my sister met me outside bearing the sad news.
We love you Allie.
You were never just a pet. You were a part of this family." - Clark Terrell
