"Why: We were shooting a series of photos for a RAW inspired image series of black and white photographs. The images would be used for mine and her portfolio.
When: This was a while back during November I believe and it was crummy and cold here so most stuff takes place in a studio.
How: Using 2 einstiens I placed one on the background with no modifier and then another einstein directly to my right with a 84 inch umbrella and a soft diffuser on top. The background is a storm grey color as what is says on the box. Usually I have a model do some posses and if she is really stiff we swing our heads around and loosen things up. Sometimes I like to shot the model when she does this.
Einsteins can handle being shot rapidly with the 5d mark iii and a cheap wireless trigger shooting rapid fire. To edit I used lightroom exclusively for this image; first removing the sensor blotches and holes in the paper backdrop, second moved the sharpness almost all the way bumped up the color and changed the blue to a slight angle and finally cropped it." -Vicky Mittal (VSM PHOTO)
