"I was sent to Kenya with work in July of 2013, working in a very poor, rural town, which was a fantastic experience but very hard work. We worked all bar one day, when we visited Nakuru Country Park, for a bit of respite. We parked outside the ticket office and I was immediately struck by the scene across the lake. Ordinarily the lake was full of flamingos and local Kenyan people were lamenting on the fact that because the lake was flooded, the flamingos had gone elsewhere. Straight away I was struck by how beautiful the scene was, with early morning mist creating a cool haze and the trees reflected in the flood plains on the lakeside." - Emma Howard
