Behind The Lenscap

Based in The Netherlands, Michiel Buijse, 44 is a land- and cityscape photographer. He is specialised in night photography by using different High Dynamic Range techniques. By teaching workshops, he encourages others to capture the beauty of the night lights.  
 
Michiel started his photography career few years ago, after serving the Dutch Air Force for twenty years. This is when he started his own business “Behind The Lenscap” and started to give photography workshops in The Netherlands. 
 
He started with a Nikon D5100 and his goal was to get the most out of a consumer camera. Knowing the camera’s limitations, is knowing what you can get out of it.  Nowadays he shoots with the new Nikon D750.
 
Michiel’s motto is “Capture common things, to create awesomeness”
