10 of the Best Budget Lenses You Can Buy

Modern camera lenses can be extremely expensive, often reaching into multiple thousands of dollars. However, there are some real gems out there at much more affordable prices, some even lower than $100. So, how do you know which of those are diamonds in the rough and which you should avoid? This excellent video review will show you 10 of the best budget options out there.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this great video review discusses 10 of the best budget lenses out there, including options from Nikon, Sony Canon, Sigma, Tamron, Mitakon, and 7Artisans. If I had to pick a favorite budget lens, I would choose the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2. I had the pleasure of using the lens for about a year, and it was truly impressive. Not only was it light and portable, it had fast and accurate autofocus and produced high-quality images. At $899, you might not consider it a budget option, but when you consider that 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses often cost over $2,000, it is quite the bargain. In fact, you can buy the entire Tamron f/2.8 trio for the price of just a single first-party 24-70mm f/2.8, making them an incredible value proposition. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Frost.
