The M11 is a bit of a departure from past M series rangefinders. No doubt, the Leica experience is still very much intact, but the M11 also comes with some very modern features. Such features include a 60-megapixel back-illuminated sensor that also offers 36- and 18-megapixel output for smaller file sizes with increased dynamic range and better noise performance, a fast electronic shutter (up to 1/16,000 s), and 64 GB of built-in storage. The viewfinder comes with automatic parallax correction and frame selection with options for 35mm/135mm, 28mm/90mm, and 50mm/75mm focal length pairs, while the rear LCD offers live view electronic stabilization. Well, a friend of mine has one and he got a sensor replacement for free, as it should be. Maybe they're expensive, but they're no a***s.
You literally chose the black sheep of their M digital line … and even for that they do offer a free sensor replacement . So you just not a serious Leica user if you didn’t even know about the M9 sensor replacement
