Though all of these lenses offer great performance and image quality, the 12-40mm f/2.8 is especially highly respected, particularly since it offers a 24-80mm equivalent focal length range in tandem with a wide maximum aperture, all at a price less than half that of most full frame 24-70mm f/2.8 options, making it a desirable option for a wide range of users. Not sure the Oly 45/1.8 belongs on the "best" list. I own one, and it's pretty good. It's also tiny and affordable, which earns it some brownie points. But, it is known to have a fair bit of field curvature. Which is fine for portraits, but not great for landscapes or other images requiring optimal edge sharpness. Panasonic's 42.5/1.7 seems a stronger contender in this regard.
OTOH, the Oly 75/1.8 is truly a standout lens.
He clearly states it is a list of his personal subjective favourites, not a list of objective "best" lenses, and he also states that he is a portrait, wedding, and event photographer.
