A Review of the New TTArtisan 35mm f/0.95 Lens

TTArtisan has established themselves as a manufacturer of ultra-affordable lenses whose performance is often at a level above that dictated by their prices. Their latest lens, the 35mm f/0.95, offers APS-C shooters an ultra-wide aperture paired with a normal focal length, making it a versatile option. This excellent video review takes a look at the new lens and the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in usage.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this great video review takes a look at the new TTArtisan 35mm f/0.95 lens. At $210, the 35mm f/0.95 is a particularly affordable lens, though it still comes with a range of useful features:

  • Mounts: Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon M and RF, Nikon Z, Leica L
  • Approximately 53mm full frame equivalent focal length
  • Retro design
  • 10-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh
  • Light weight: 9.41 oz (267 g)
  • 7 elements in 5 groups, including two high-index elements for reduced aberrations and increased sharpness
  • Multi-layer coating for reduced flares and ghosting and increased contrast
  • Manual focus design with depth of field and focal distance scales

Altogether, at this price, you should not expect clinical sharpness from this lens, though it still provides decent shots and allows photographers to experiment with narrow depth of field without breaking the bank. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts on the lens.
