AL BLOUNT
I started with Pentax K110D and learned the basics. I was eventually able to upgrade and get the Canon T2i. This was when I started to get more professional and make money. I bought new lenses and learned more about working people groups and different compositions styles. I had my canon for years and eventually stumbled upon a family heirloom for a Hasselblad 500c with the 80mm cf lens which I still have to this day. Film was fun but not for me.
After almost 6-7 years with the t2i and a short break of almost a whole year, I upgraded to the Canon 6d and had entered the full-frame realm! I loved its low light performance and resolution but by now I was no longer interested in service photography and beginning to look into bigger prints and doing more street photography and fine art photography. By now long gone were the days of family photos portrait sessions and wedding photography. I just didn’t like it anymore. After 2 years I realized it wanted to do a little video again but the Xt2 was the only thing that had the best of both worlds (video and photog) along with great glass and affordable prices for the glass. So I sold all of my canon gear and jumped ship to Fuji. It’s been almost 3 years not and I’ve loved it since day one!
