Bater Kari
Born in Yonkers, NY, I took my first photograph at 7 or 8 years old with that classic of all cameras, the Kodak Instamatic. My interest in photography continued into high school, when I took photography classes and my parents purchased a Yashica Electro 35, followed by a Minolta SRT 200.
After graduating high school I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completing recruit and technical training I was assigned to the 3rd Marine Air Wing on the West Coast of the U.S. Here my photographic adventure continued and I discovered the excitement of aviation photography.
It was during my time while stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Az. I obtained my private pilot license through the base flying club.
After returning home upon the completion of my enlistment I worked a variety of jobs and continued having fun with photography.
