Michael Baxter

After graduation Michael spent four years at Exponent FAA, a leading scientific and engineering firm. He was part of a specialized team responsible for the operation of high-speed image capture systems, for use in accident reconstruction, failure analysis and component stress testing.

In August of 2003 Michael formed Baxter Imaging LLC, in the interest of returning to the creative arts. Architectural photography became the ideal discipline for combining his creative and technical skill set. He's been an active member of leading photographic organizations, including BIPP, IAAP, NAPP, and ASMP, serving two years on the Phoenix Chapter Board. For nearly five years he was Photo Editor for AIAP, selecting the finest member work for presentation on the national website. In 2014 he launched Architectural Photographers Collective, in collaboration with renown photographers Jeffrey Jacobs, Jim Roof, and Paul Schlismann.

He works meticulously with his clients, staging, lighting, and capturing each space using classic photographic technique combined with modern digital technology. Michael holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts from the University of Arizona.
