Ben Marcum

I have always been drawn to the arts. in my younger years I just wanted to create. I began working in theatre as a sound designer and shooting film at about the same time. As I moved towards college, and film became hard to manage process, store...afford, if began focus all of my energy in the theatre, and have had a successful career for many years.
I never thought I would pick up a camera again. When I did, it felt natural.
I am self thought, and still learning, and will continue to do so.
I find a joy in being a portrait photographer.
I love the collaboration that happens between photographer and subject (model, family, bride and groom), and the collaboration that happens with a team of artists working together (hair and makeup artists, models, stylists, assistants).
