I do portraits — mostly. But, sometimes I shoot to experiment, or just for myself. There is, after all, so much to try.

I particularly like environmental portraits. Lighting, however, is more difficult outside of a studio; but I don't like working in a studio — which is a good thing, because I don't have one.

Except for Fstoppers and a couple of forums I don't do social media. I do, however, have a blog and a gallery. The blog is at http://www.billdanby.com, and the gallery is at http://gallery.billdanby.com.

I'm originally from Chicago, but I've lived in Brisbane, Australia since 1989.
