cultural anthropologist by training and trade; writer, photographer. highlight of my photography career so far was decades ago (ha!): using my parents Kodak Brownie Super-8 movie camera, I took prolly the last close-up of JFK in Dallas, about 10-15 minutes before he was assassinated. Life magazine published my photographs in its November, 1983 commemorative issue. Bob Dylan's vide-biography used the brief footage, as well. You can see the two key pics Life used at

returning to photography now, starting with an Olympus E-M5ii, though set to get either a Sony A7Rii or iii, the new Nikon 850, or Nikon's rumored, FF, mirrorless for 2018.
