Dale Cruse
Dale Cruse started his career as an Army photojournalist during the transition from film to digital. He found his calling high in the air photographing paratroopers jumping out of a C-130.
Preferring to shoot from the ground now, he focuses on architecture photography. He specializes in bold & vibrant imagery. His use of negative space & framing elements create images that transport the viewer. His work can be seen in Atlas Obscura, Business Insider, Coldwell Banker, The Culture Trip, Curbed, Hoodline, Le Monde, Lifehacker, New York Magazine, NPR, Tripzilla, Vice, WBUR, Wikipedia, & more. He’s a lifetime member of the National Press Photographers Association.
During the rare times without a camera in his hand, he’s a technologist. He’s the author of HTML5 Multimedia Development Cookbook. Home is a colorful Victorian in San Francisco he shares with his wife Heather & Oliver the Maine Coon cat.
