Donald Chalfy
I am a photographer specializing in headshot and portrait photography as my bread and butter, however, I enjoy many genres in photography. I believe in being flexible and versatile. I recently graduated college (May, 2015) with two degrees in photography and Photographic Imaging Technology. Prior to this, I enjoyed a music career as a tubist, electric bassist, and orchestral personnel manager that spanned over 30 years, including 12 years serving in the United States Marine Corps (1979-1991), which is still is a big part of my life. When I wasn't immersed in music, photography occupied my time. I am fortunate that I decided to do a mid-life do over to become a professional photographer, building my own business from the ground up. There is a lifetime of learning to be had in this ever changing business ahead of me and I am thankful for that.
My desire is to learn to make my photography sing as much as I made my music sing through the instruments I play. I feel a connection between these two art forms and look forward to exploring a way to visually express that connection. I am very fortunate to be able to indulge my life's passions, music and photography.
