I'm a self-taught landscape and architecture photographer, I have recently expanded my portfolio to include fashion and special effects. My portfolio is also being uploaded to Instagram at fergusdavidsonphotos.
My earliest memory of taking photographs was on a school trip to Netherlands when my parents bought me a Kodak Instamatic. I caught the bug then and started photographing everything I could. Upon leaving school I applied for a place at the Royal Scottish Academy for Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) but also for a photography course at Glasgow university. I got into the RSAMD but not having any portfolio, any basic knowledge of my local newspaper or editorials or experience apart from the joy of snapping shots, my interview for the photography was predictably short.
I now live and work in and around London.
