Generator Photography
My name is Glenn Elliott and I'm a photographer.
I'm 47 years old, born and raised in Los Angeles, and currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Years ago, I graduated from Cal State University in Fullerton with a degree in Art. My emphasis was in Drawing and Painting, my style was heavily influenced by abstract expressionism. But I also took several photography classes, which turned my art towards a more gritty, realistic direction. Pictures of street signs, swap meets and rock quarries provided my inspiration.
For many years after graduation, I did nothing related to art. During 2007, however, I took up photography again.
Much of my work focuses on streets, freeways, cars and motorcycles, strip malls, light industrial complexes and suburbia. Where others see soulless architecture and drab surroundings, I try to see interesting shapes and angles, interplay of light and shadow, juxtapositions of images and themes. I try to see interesting shapes and angles, interplay of light and shadow, juxtapositions of images and themes. I try to find beauty in places most people have written off as ugly.
This is what I do. I have a total, impassioned and unwavering belief in my art.
