Jimmy Schaefer

From 2007 to 2015, I worked in the photography industry. For many years, I was employed by a company that specialized in editing real estate photography. Additionally, I operated my own videography business, focusing on weddings. However, I decided to step away from it all when I noticed that I had stopped enjoying photography as a hobby and that it had become more like endless work and deadlines.

I now work full-time in the IT world and have experience as a systems engineer, application engineer, and more with multiple large companies. In 2023, I was given the opportunity to serve as an IT director at a local school in my area. Throughout my first year, I've been inspired by the students' photography and video work around the school, which has ignited my own passion for photography again.

I recently sold most of my professional camera gear and switched to a FujiFilm X-T50 and a couple of lenses to keep it light for capturing moments with my kids and family during vacations.

I am always willing to teach and share what I know with others. I'm a master at Photoshop and NLE' ers of all kinds—except for TikTok, which is trash.
