James Donaldson

I started photography in the late 80's and taught myself, I read everything I could get my hands on. I started doing wedding photography in the early 90's and after a few years I realized I didn't know how to run a business, even though I never had an unsatisfied customer I went back to doing photography as a serious hobby and worked hard in the water-treatment industry moving up to Sr Plant operator, then I got sick with throat cancer and was put on disability. After 3 surgeries one 13.5 hrs long, leaving me without a throat for 3 months and a weight loss of 100lbs and recovery I ended up with Fibromyalgia and UCTD and had to stay on disability. I am not one to do nothing so I started focusing on my photography and decided to get a more formal education, so I am now a graduate of Gwinnett Technical College with a degree in Commercial Photography and Multimedia Production with Digital Imaging Technician. I am fortunate to have a wonderful wife of 28yrs and 5 kids and 10 grand kids and one great grand kid. (Plenty of photo subjects and pretty good actors too lol). I am always wanting to learn and have done so thru FStoppers.
