Hello! I'm Marlena (pronounced mar-lay-nuh); a Los Angeles based natural light photographer specializing in fashion, lifestyle, and landscape photography. My images have a soft feminine quality with an emphasis on location and environment. I aim to capture natural portraiture in an ethereal way.

Let's back up a bit: I was born in the heavily wooded state of New Jersey and moved to the desert city of Los Angeles at the age of 18 to study film production. Enamored by cacti and skinny palm trees upon my arrival (and still to this day - 6yrs later), I found my love for natural light in the rays of sunshine that riddled the Southern California city. Having grown up in the Garden State, my infatuation with nature would never escape me, but rather heighten my photography when combined with the perpetual LA sun. With age and exposure, I've whipped up quite the appetite for travel. So although the LA sun remains a staple, there is no denying that you will be sure to find me exploring the world with a lens to my eye.
