About Marshal

Marshal Chupa is an internationally published travel and adventure sports photographer/videographer born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. This nomadic adventurer has worked in more than a 35 countries, and in the summer of 2014 he will be embarking on an expedition that will take him around the world through four deserts, nine mountain ranges and eighteen countries.

Delivering for both commercial and editorial clients alike, his work can be seen in publications such as Snowboard Canada, Mountain Life Magazine, Splitboard Magazine, 33MAG and the Chilean snowboard magazine Demolicion. Marshal has collaborated with organizations including Beyond Boarding and HOPE International Development Agency, and as a director and cinematographer he created the recent documentary Belén (a film that follows two Canadian snowboarders to Peru and Chile on a quest to give back), which is touring throughout British Columbia.

Whether he’s staying with remote tribes in Colombia, travelling with soldiers on a cargo ship through the Caribbean, or snowboarding the Chilean Andes, Marshal captures breathtaking images that are marked by his passion for adventure-seeking and the wanderlust lifestyle that ensues.
